Amazon sells foldable tiny home for $17,600 with ‘easy and fast assembly’ - and owners say they have ‘no regrets’ | The US Sun
PROSPECTIVE homeowners can now look to Amazon for their new home that will stay within even the smallest budgets.
The online retailer sells a foldable tiny home for under $20,000 that can be easily constructed with simple fold-out walls.
Amazon's 13-foot-by-20-foot prefab house with a lockable door and windows can be purchased for just $17,600.
Larger sizes are available for between $20,000 and $35,000.
The structure made out of alloy steel and plastic is waterproof and has "easy and fast assembly," according to Amazon.
The expandable home is constructed in a factory and then all the buyer has to do is unfold the walls, ceiling, and flooring to make it full-size.
A TikTok video from @bestofcleaners shows one new homeowner unwrapping his huge delivery with a few friends.
"The entire house has to fold out, kind of like a puzzle," he excitedly said.
"That's a whole wall! I've never folded a house together. This thing is so easy to build you literally just unfold it."
He filmed the inside of his home showing off the bathroom that has a toilet and a shower as well as a relaxation area, a sleeping area, and a small kitchen.
The TikToker bought one of the larger-sized homes on offer for around $26,000.
Meanwhile, on Amazon, a happy customer left a five-star review of the $17,600 home saying it was "worth every dollar."
"Got it for some land I bought and I don’t regret to be honest," they added.
However, one prospective buyer was hesitant saying, "But what if it can’t hold the weather???
"This is perfect for a guest house on our property."
THE tiny home phenomenon found new heights as an alternative living solution for consumers concerned with ballooning homebuying costs and sustainability concerns.

"The expandable container house is composed of a steel structure and Flame retardant foam wallboard," Amazon states.
"Water-proof and thermal insulation, safe and durable."
It also notes that "its sturdy construction stands up to inclement weather."
However, those who want to have electricity must install it themselves and viewers of the TikTok video warn that owners should look at zoning codes and permits before buying the home.
